The story starts out simply enough. Shanna and Will met through mutual friends in the spring/summer of 2004. Shanna being of age and Will being a lowly sophomore in college, their few brief visits were at the various gatherings of merriment and hoopla at Will's house whilst partaking in libations. Although there was definite chemistry, alas Will did not get Shanna's number and they both went their separate ways.
Fast forward two years to Labor Day weekend 2006. Will, now being of age, is out with his fellow co-workers at the local night spots but plans change. As luck would have it, they go to a friend's house who is having a gathering of merriment and hoopla. Shortly after arriving Will went downstairs to see a "dance party" in progress and, as anyone who knows Will can tell you, he was ready to show off his stellar dance skills. As if out of a movie, his eyes met Shanna's from across the room!
Just as Moses had parted the Red Sea, the dance floor parted for these two. They danced, caught up, discussed music, and overall had an amazing time. However, again due to timing, geography, and apparently a momentary lapse in judgement, Will did not get Shanna's number.

Then came Christmas of 2007 in Minot, ND. At the Barley Pop Christmas party, Will ran into Jenn Pool and exchanged numbers. As luck would have it, Jenn only took 9 months to share this number with Shanna as a joke. Shanna then sent Will a text while out with Jenn as they reminisced. Will had no idea from whom he was receiving said text message, making Shanna feel incredibly important and valued. However, this was the start of a lengthy period of friendship and fun times.
Over the course of the next five years the two would share numerous texts, phone calls, and nights out in Minneapolis. (But only Minneapolis as Shanna was allergic to the suburbs and St. Paul.) There were a few exceptions in the summer of 2009 as they went on two proper dates. One to the wedding of one of Shanna's friends in Fargo and the other being Shanna's high school reunion (consequently at this event Will flipped for Shanna....literally....in his car....into a field).
In the summer of 2012 Will was down in Minneapolis for a music festival, the two shared a drink. Shanna invited him for a weekend in Winnipeg for Canada Day with some of her friends. It was at this trip that the two began to seriously discuss a future together. Will was moving to Fargo and Shanna was ready for a change in scenery. They began to date and over the course of the next several months fell in love and decided it was time to spend the rest of their lives together, in order to keep the Universe from collapsing on itself from frustration.
